Welcome Margaret Wilkes, MD, to FPMRS faculty

Margaret Wilkes, MD, will join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as an assistant professor (CHS) in the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) on September 1, 2024. Wilkes will join us following the completion of FPMRS fellowship this summer.

Wilkes completed medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, followed by obstetrics and gynecology residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. Wilkes will complete FPMRS fellowship at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry later this year.

Wilkes is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society as well as the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She received multiple teaching awards during residency. During fellowship, Wilkes served as a site investigator for an AUGS Fellows’ Pelvic Research Network trial and was a member of the University of Rochester Department of Ob-Gyn Gynecology Quality Assurance Committee.

Wilkes’ clinical, educational, and research skills will be an excellent addition to our department. We look forward to welcoming Dr. Wilkes to Wisconsin later this year!
