Welcome Outreach Program Manager Timothy O’Hearn!

Please help us welcome Timothy O’Hearn, MPH, who joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology on January 29, 2024, as the new Outreach Program Manager! In this role, Timothy will lead the department’s in- and outreach efforts. 

Prior to joining our department, Timothy served as the Program Administrator of Family Planning with the Florida Department of Health. In this role he was responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the FP program. He coordinated all outreach activities for the Florida Department of Health in Duval County and was responsible for implementing and monitoring the federal Title X Grant. In that role, he worked on contract management, supervised the Maternal and Child Health program, coordinated the Healthy Babies activities with the Florida Department of Health and was the coordinator for the Florida Department of Health monthly Prenatal Support Group activity. 

Prior to that role, Timothy was the Government Operations Consultant HIV Contract Manager for Florida Department of Health in Duval County. While there, he negotiated all contracts and agreements for Ryan White Part C HIV prevention programs. He also developed and monitored all contract budgets and supported healthcare providers with funding, data collection, and programs. He has extensive experience working abroad as a strategic advisor, public health advisor and cooperative extension officer with the Peace Corps in Central Asia, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. 

Timothy attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh for his undergraduate education and earned a Master's in Public Health from Loma Linda University.
