UW Ob-Gyn Gratitude

Say thank you to the colleagues who have gone above and beyond in this time here!

HONORING: Kara Hoppe, DO

"Dr. Kara Hoppe has led the charge for telehealth in high risk pregnancies, even before the COVID pandemic. She continues to guide us through remote monitoring and video visits. Thank you for your leadership!" (Submitted by Katie Antony, MD)

HONORING: Bala Bhagavath, MD

"In the 3 months since Bhagavath has joined the Generations team he has shown true and genuine leadership. He has been gracious and listened to all concerns that have come his way. He is sincerely empathetic and compassionate towards the needs of our patients during this healthcare crisis, while at the same time holds a rational line to ensure staff and patient safety. He made it clear he wants to put our mission first and has continued to do this while finding opportunities amid difficult constraints. Bhagavath is focused on the future and using this time to organize our clinical practice so when it is safe to open again we will be ready to provide the excellent care Generations offers." (Submitted by Jen Spredemann)

"We want to echo Dr. Al-Niaimi's comments whole-heartedly! Aleks, Laura and I feel that we are not 'Laurel-worthy' and are incredibly grateful to her for making us part of her team.  Her leadership skills are to be emulated and we are learning by observing her every day through this crisis!" HONORING: Women's Healthcast Guest Experts

"The UW Ob-Gyn podcast recently reached its 50th episode, and I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to share their expertise with me.  The time you spend talking about women's health and healthcare makes a difference for people who listen.  We received the following comment from a listener this week that really underscores how much your contributions matter: 'I have enjoyed listening to your podcast for months now.  Thank you kindly.  Keep it up.  We, the women need you.  Thanks so much for making all this info available in a way that is accessible without having to ask for it and can be accessed in private.'  Thank you all for your time and energy- I always appreciate the opportunity to learn from you!"
