Brian Tuohy, PhD
Postdoctoral Trainee

Reproductive and Population Health

Dr. Tuohy’s research, which has appeared in Social Forces and City & Community, focuses on the increasing significance of legal status in immigrant lives and with critical issues that arise at the intersection of healthcare and immigration reform. As a HDRS Fellow Brian will continue this work by focusing specifically on the health impact of proposed changes to “public charge” designations, including the utilization of Medicaid benefits, for immigrant communities and mixed-status families.
