Fellowship - URPS Application Process

The UW Department of Ob-Gyn Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery fellowship program recruits for one fellow position per year. Read more about the application guidelines and requirements:

Application Requirements For The Fellowship Position:

  1. Three to four Letters of Recommendation (at least two from URPS specialists and one from Residency Program Director)
  2. USMLE Step score reports
  3. Personal statement
  4. Dean’s letter of evaluation from medical school
  5. Medical school transcripts or medical school diploma
  6. Photograph
  7. ECFMG Status Report (if applicable)
  8. Please do NOT forward CREOG score reports

Application Submission Deadline: January 21, 2025

Our URPS Fellowship Program is accredited by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and American Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). All application materials must be submitted through ERAS and our program participates in the NRMP Match.

Program Requirements

Eligible candidates must have successfully completed residency at an ACGME-accredited program in either Obstetrics and Gynecology or Urology.  Fellowship training for obstetrician-gynecologists consists of three years, while the training period for urologists may be two OR three years. 

Post-Residency Applicants

If your former Residency Program Director is no longer with the associated residency program, the current Program Director should forward and email a Completion of Residency Statement to us. Note: this statement does NOT count as a letter of recommendation; therefore, post-residency applicants should submit 3 letters of recommendations from professional colleagues, one of which must be from a current professional colleague.

Application/Interviews

All applications must be submitted through ERAS and candidates must participate in the NRMP.
